The new fries at wendy’s taste exactly like they did before. For everyone that was worried that they were going to taste different you rest assure view didn’t change much. The new difference is view now keep the skins on and changed the salt to sea salt. Nothing really new just the great taste that the wendy’s downtown always provides. These fries get a 7 out of 10.

  1. So do these fries replace their old fries or are these new fries so you now have 2 to choose from?

  2. I tried the new Wendy’s fries for the first time. The new fries seem to be slightly thinner and 3x as salty as the old ones… almost too salty for my taste. Maybe they are really trying to emphasize that sea salt angle by putting tons of salt on the fries. Or maybe I just need to get used to the sea salt taste.

  3. First time checking out your blog (and first post, of I assume many I’ll be commenting on) and I’m pumped. I can’t put into words my love for french fries.

Anyway, on topic. I’m glad these fries still taste the same and I think the one big difference I’ve noticed since they made the switch is that they seem to lend themselves to being cooked with more consistency. It was like how McDonalds fries are pretty good, but what set them apart was the fact that they were fairly consistently cooked perfectly, where with Wendy’s you never knew what you would get but if they did it right their fries were better. Now, I think they’ve figured out how to consistently cook these well all the time.
